“When you are in touch with the dimension of Being within yourself – and being in touch with it is your natural state, not some miraculous achievement – all your actions and relationships will reflect the oneness with all life that you sense deep within. This is love.“
Eckhart Tolle

ABOUT

We live in a time of exceptional challenge in all areas of life. The need for individuals, organisations and nations to move towards greater harmony within themselves, with others and the more than human world has perhaps never been greater. Our primary aim is to support these transformations, through the programmes and services we offer.

Many of our guests and participants speak of feeling quickly at home here. We think this has something to do with the valley itself, and with the atmosphere we try to cultivate — one of authenticity, attention and genuine welcome.

To do this well, we bring together a team of highly experienced guides, facilitators, educators, hosts and chefs — each contributing their own expertise and care to the work of Easy Day.

OUR STORY

Easy Day was founded in 2001 by Korbi Hort. In the beginning, the work was rooted mainly in adventure tourism, guiding visitors who had come to the Costa Brava in search of outdoor adventure and adrenaline in the Pyrenees.

Over time, the Sant Aniol Valley began to draw Korbi in more and more. Its river, limestone walls and wild beauty became a place of deep belonging. Much of his free time was soon spent in the valley rock climbing with friends — at first camping beneath rock overhangs and living very simply outdoors.

In 2002, Easy Day ran its first outdoor education programme for a Belgian university. Around the same time, a deeper inner search also began to unfold. Encounters with suffering, spirituality, philosophy and psychology gradually became part of the ground from which the work grew.

A major influence came in 2005, when Korbi met Thich Nhat Hanh. His teachings inspired us to find a non-sectarian way of bringing together wisdom teachings, nature, adventure, awareness and education. Those years were among the most creative in the life of Easy Day — marked by a shared enthusiasm for nature-based learning, friendship, community, sport and exploration.

Over time, the educational approach became simpler, more direct and refined, while still leaving space for facilitators to find their own authentic expression within the frame of a programme.

In 2014, after many years of working towards a physical learning centre in the valley, the conditions finally aligned for the rebuilding of the ruin at Pont de Valentí. Around the same period, Korbi also met Mooji and entered more deeply into the tradition of self-inquiry rooted in Ramana Maharshi. Since then, life and work at Easy Day have continued to unfold in close relationship with the valley itself.

Art, dance and music also gradually became part of Easy Day, widening its expression and deepening its cultural life.

THE TEAM

KORBI HORT | FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

As a qualified guide and group facilitator, I draw on more than 25 years of experience and have safely led thousands of people through transformative learning experiences.
I am passionate about creating spaces and atmospheres in which people feel at ease, at home, and inspired to explore what truly matters to them.

These days, I feel most fulfilled in my work when a facilitated process — usually blending nature-based experience, conversation and guided meditation — helps participants become inwardly quiet, open and receptive. It is here that we begin to sense, understand and appreciate the completeness and contentment of our natural state of being.

For me, the significance of this cannot be overstated, as it reaches into every aspect of life. This is why the words of Eckhart Tolle quoted above feel so deeply meaningful to me.

I am the founder and director of Easy Day. I hold a Master’s degree in Sustainability and Business Responsibility from Ashridge Business School and a BSc in Outdoor Education from the University of Edinburgh. My family and I live in the Sant Aniol valley in Catalunya, Spain, which we are grateful to call home.

ANNA CARCELLER ROCA | BOOKING & HOSTING

I have lived at Pont de Valentí since 2019, supporting the project through bookings, communication and welcoming guests.

I am drawn to the simplicity, beauty and harmony that can arise in places, people and relationships. I care deeply about offering a space where people feel at ease, well looked after, and free to meet one another with openness and authenticity. These kinds of encounters nourish and inspire me.

I am also a ceramic practitioner, and art is one of the ways I connect, express myself and share what feels meaningful. Being able to share this dimension with others is always a real pleasure.

LUCIANO GUTIERREZ | CURATOR & FACILITATOR

Luciano arrived at Pont de Valentí in 2017 and has felt at home in these mountains ever since. Here, many of the experiences and skills he gathered along the way found a natural place of expression — from studying performing arts at university, to curating music and dance events, facilitating educational programmes, and working as a chef within a long family tradition of gastronomy and hospitality.

His artistic work, both as an actor and dancer, has always been closely connected to body awareness and movement, and to the playful ways in which people can meet, express themselves and flourish through dance and song.

Today, Luciano’s main contribution to Easy Day is the music and performing arts series Elements. From time to time, he also continues to collaborate as a facilitator. Alongside this, his energy is now focused primarily on his own project, La Otra Orilla.
Deeply connected to this valley, Luciano values its silence, beauty and groundedness, and is grateful to share something of that experience with others.

LUCAS DOFFO | VEGETARIAN CUISINE AND HEALTHY EATING

One of the first places that really amazed me in Catalonia was the route from Sadernes to Sant Aniol. The Café en route at Pont d’en Valenti inspired my steps and now finds me between contemplation, rhythm and the adventure of living.

I have been practicing yoga for years and I am passionate about percussion, but above all, the alchemy in the kitchen, trying to bring nutrition to nourish body and soul. I got to know this project by returning here over again, first as a friend and spontaneous collaborator, now as a cook and part of the Easy Day Team.

JOIN THE FAMILY!

We founded the Pont de Valentí Association to bring together the growing community of friends of Easy Day and the Sant Aniol Valley. Members receive special access and discounts to events, programmes and services, while the association also supports nature-based learning, artistic expression and our intimate musical gatherings.
